Eric Yeldell grew up in a Pastor’s home in Jacksonville, FL and learned about Jesus at a young age. He became a follower of Christ when he was 16 and felt called to ministry as a Senior in High School. He went to the University of Florida, earning a B.S in Human Resource Development and then went on to get a Masters of Divinity degree in Worship from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.
He served on staff at Highview Baptist Church in Louisville as one of their Music Ministers, and it was there that Eric met Kristin Wicker and fell in love. He and Kristin got married and had 2 beautiful girls – Mary Grace and Abigail Joy – while in Kentucky. They were then called to Tampa where Eric served as the Worship Pastor at FBC Temple Terrace. While he ministered there, he and Kristin were blessed with their third daughter, Naomi Hope.
After being in Tampa for several years, Eric was called to serve as the Associate Pastor of Contemporary Worship & Ministries with FBC Naples in January 2012. He now leads worship for the Saturday Night Service & Sunday Morning Chapel service, as well as assists in communications for the FBC Naples family. His heart’s desire is to bring glory to God by leading others to worship God in spirit & Truth, not only as the church gathered, but daily with all of their lives. Since then, they have been blessed with a son, Noah.
His life and ministry verse is:
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.” (Romans 12:1)
