Larry was not raised in a Christian that had never heard a clear Gospel presentation. When his family moved to Florida in 1969, he visited a little Southern Baptist Church in Florida City. Through their youth ministry he heard the “Good News” of Christ and trusted Him as his Lord and Savior. Publicly, he proclaimed that trust by being baptized. For the first time in his life the Bible made sense.
Pastor Larry graduated from Florida Bible College and received his BA in Biblical Education and Theology in 1976 and a Master of Religious Education degree from Covington Theological Seminary in 1982. God opened the door for him to serve churches as youth and children’s pastor for over 25 years.
In 2004, Larry was called to become the children’s pastor, where he served faithfully for 8 years. Sensing a new call on his life, he began serving this church as the Associate Pastor of Pastoral Care in 2012. He feels honored and blessed with the opportunity to reach those in need and to minister to the senior adults of our congregation.
Larry has been married to his wife Patty for over 40 years and they have been blessed with 3 daughters and 7 grandchildren. He has lived in Naples since 1976 while his wife is a 3rd generation Neopolitan.
Larry’s life and ministry verse is:
“We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:5)
