I grew up in a strong, ethnically Irish Catholic family in Pawling, NY. My mother’s parents were Irish immigrants who worked their way out of poverty and instilled in their children and grandchildren the value of a faith informed education for a life of service to God, family, and community. Though my own faith journey took me into the evangelical world and subsequently Christian education, the lessons of hard work, enthusiastic learning, and the passionate pursuit for serving others remain part of my foundation.
Esther and I have been blessed with twelve amazing children and have always viewed their education as an extension of the discipleship process that nurtures their hearts and cultivates their minds with a vibrant Biblical Christian worldview. For us, education has always been more than the accumulation of information, but also the sincere desire for Christ-like transformation in our children’s lives. Knowing how much that matters to us as parents only strengthens my desire to serve the parents and students of FBA well.
The Leadership Team at First Baptist Academy, along with our dedicated faculty and staff, aspire to be an authentic Christian community that demonstrates a culture centered around our shared values of Care demonstrated by grace-filled love and truth; Commitment to scholarly pursuits and achievements; Creativity through innovative opportunities and experiences; and Christian Character shown through the life of Jesus. We recognize that students and families come to us from all walks of life and are at different places in the development of their faith. FBA is a school where uncommon opportunities await your child. He or she will be known by name, supported individually, enjoy Christian community, and be well-equipped for an unparalleled future.
