Shannon surrendered her life to Jesus at the age of nineteen. She came from a broken home and had spent many years trying to fill the empty places in her heart with the world’s empty promises. Shannon’s mother, after giving her life to Christ, was a faithful witness and prayer warrior and was with her when she responded to the Good News. Her life has never been the same!
She has served beside Chad, her husband and best friend for 24 years, in various ministries from youth to young adults and young married adults for over 19 years. They have been blessed with a son, C.J., who just completed his sophomore year of college at Liberty University. These two men are truly the delight of her life!
For over 13 years Shannon has served as our Director of Women’s Ministry. This ministry, founded by our Senior Pastor’s wife Janet Wicker, reaches beyond the walls of our church and touches women of all ages and backgrounds. Shannon feels humbled daily that God would allow her to serve such a dynamic group of ladies who love God’s Word!
Shannon’s life and ministry verse is:
“But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.” (2 Corinthians 4:7)
